OBJECTIVE

Installation of water backup system, ground water harvesting and filtration to support municipal water supply during water outages.

SOLUTION

Municipal backup system for 4 days backup installed, supported by Groundwater harvesting in order to support the municipal supply to the building during water outages. This water is treated for microbiological contaminants, then stored in a a large zincalume storage tank. From there the water undergoes multiple stage filtration. The water is then made available "on demand" for the designated uses after passing through a last filtration step. Monitoring on the supplementary water as well as municipal water allows for accurate water data to allow for better water management.

RESULTS

Backup tanks and Groundwater source used to support municipal water during water outages for toilet flushing etc.
