CASE STUDY

Objective

Installation of rainwater harvesting and filtration to supplement municipal supply

Solution

Rainwater harvesting was installed in order to supplement the municipal supply to the building. This water is treated for microbiological contaminants, then stored in a a large zincalume storage. From there the water undergoes multiple stage filtration, into small tank. The water is then made available "on demand" for the designated uses after passing through a last filtration step. Monitoring on the supplementary water as well as municipal water allows for accurate water data to allow for better water management.

Results

Rainwater source used to supplement municipal water for use in flushing toilets, truck wash and irrigation.

Every engagement starts the same way: a water audit that establishes your baseline, benchmarks your performance, and shows exactly where the losses are. Most sites are surprised by what it finds.
